Our Basic Dog Grooming & Pet First Aid Course is designed to equip you with the foundational, industry-standard skills you need to become a highly sought-after Grooming Assistant or Bather. With 80% hands-on practical training, you won't just be learning from a textbook. You'll be mastering the tools of the trade.
What you will learn
Professional bathing & preparation
You will master pre-grooming health checks, nail clipping, ear cleaning, clipping sanitary areas and salon-quality washing techniques while keeping sensitive areas safe.
Fluff-drying & detangling
Unlock the secrets to the perfect blowout. Learn how to safely operate high-velocity (HV) dryers, perform synchronised brushing and fluff-drying, reduce undercoat and painlessly remove minor tangles.
Pet emergency CPR & first aid
Safety is a groomer's number one priority. Set yourself apart by learning how to recognise distress, manage salon emergencies such as heatstroke, seizure or minor cuts, and perform life-saving pet CPR using a veterinary training manikin.
