Our trainer brings more than 20 years of experience in conducting basic dog-grooming classes. With proper technique and close supervision, grooming-related minor mishaps have historically occurred in fewer than 5% of cases. The trainer actively demonstrates gentle handling methods and closely oversees every practical exercise.
As with any grooming routine, there are inherent risks, particularly if a dog becomes anxious, startled, or restless. To maintain a safe and positive learning environment for everyone:
- Good Health Required: All dogs attending must be in good health and up to date on essential vaccinations.
- Advance Notice: Please declare any existing medical conditions, skin sensitivities, behavioural triggers, or past grooming anxieties beforehand. The trainer will review this and advise whether your dog is suitable for the practical session.
- Welfare-First Approach: We take every precaution to keep stress levels low. If the trainer observes that your dog is becoming overly stressed or fatigued, they will pause the session, allow your dog to rest or discontinue the practical activity.
With thoughtful preparation, watchful supervision and patient handling, most dogs settle in comfortably and have a positive, safe experience throughout the class.
